Fighting Strategies
This is pretty much the crucial point that will make you win or lose, and you need to have your strategy defined from the very first second of the fight, otherwise you might not get enough time to think about it after the start, and you will probably lose it. Many times, we can lose a fight just because we have started it the wrong way, by forgetting to use the right clothing set, losing it's MP bonus and even with the wrong weapon, losing the bonuses from it's Special Ability.
Look at the short video where I fight against an Eva's Templar with the Eva's Saint class, I finished him off with only 780 MP left, and it's not uncommon to see some guys with this same class losing against this tanker because their MP ends. So, to win him and still have this MP left, I had to start the fight using nukers with the Conversion Special Ability on five Cabrio's Hand weapons, starting with the maximum MP possible.
Then I changed to five Arcana Maces with the Mana Up Special Ability after I had used all the Conversion's MP boost, and only later I started to use Arcana Maces with the Acumen SA, which appears in the video, after I had spent the Mana Up's MP. This is one of many strategies that we can apply at the olympiad, but they depend a lot on our opponent's gameplay too, because they can change their strategy as well.
You can see that his strategy was exactly to make me waste all of my MP, since he was playing with pretty much all itens increasing his magical defense, and trying to hold my damage as long as possible for that to happen, since if my MP ended, there wouldn't be nothing else for me to do, because the Eva's Saint physical fighting abilities are useless against an Eva's Templar, who has a great physical defense.
In this other short video, with the Sagittarius class, I fight an Elemental Master, where my strategy was dealing damage directly at the pet's master, and it was working, but he managed to stun me twice with the Magnus's Unicorn skill Whiplash, giving him more time to recover his HP with Battle Heal. However, I realized he wasn't healing his pet, so when the second stun was over, I made enough damage to kill the unicorn, and went back to dealing damage on the master, who now doesn't a pet to share half of the damage through the Transfer Pain skill, so it's easier to finish him off.
The point here is for you to understand how important it is to have a strategy since the beginning of the fight, because that's a big step for the win. Unfortunaly there's not enough space here for me to tell you what strategy you must use with all classes combinations, but with all the knowledge that you have got until here I am pretty sure that you will be able to create your own, or at least understand them by watching real fights or YouTube videos.
The main steps to decide your strategy are: discover your opponent's class, think about how this class usually win yours, and think about how you can do different to win. As time goes and you keep fighting, you will start to get better at this and think faster about what you can do and what strategies works better against your opponents.
