Attack Range

This is one more of the most important things in a olympiad fight, understanding yours and your enemy's attack range gives you a huge advantage and allows you to control the fight better. Each class have their respective range, according to the kind of attack or skills that classe uses the most. Watch one example of attack range with the Doomcryer class in the following video:

I start with short range attacks hitting with the dagger Angel Slayer the BabyLari's unicorn, since it's attack is also short ranged, but when I kill the pet, I use a bow to hit BabyLari, since she has more movement speed, so I wouldn't get close to her to make damage with the dagger. Later she gets far from the bow's attack range, so I hit her with magical damage from nuker augments, because they have a higher attack range.

This is something you learn better with practise and with time you start to recognize the time of using the right kind of attack according to your attack range at the moment, since it changes a lot depending on the class that you're playing and the situation itself. Let's watch another example, with the Mystic Muse against a Dreadnought now:

Dreadnought is a class who has only one skill that is not short ranged, the Shock Blast (500 attack range), and it's reuse delay is a little high, so it wouldn't be enough to beat me unless the stun had worked and got me immobilized, then he would get close enough to use his other skills. The strategy was to reduce his speed with Frost Bolt, run and hit carefully keeping a safe distance, outside of the attack range of his other skills.

Maybe you could think, why didn't she hit me with a bow? Well, there are some classes that doesn't give a good damage with bows, and Dreadnought is one of them, so it would actually be worse for her since I would get even more distance. Also, you must consider the speed of your opponent for these kinds of strategies, and that's why speed debuffs are so important inside the olympiad.

Short Range Attacks

Short range attacks are all the ones made with hand-to-hand weapons and skills with less than 200 of range attack, so the only kind of normal physical attack that doesn't apply here is the damage made with bows. Spears have a higher attack range, something about of 60 to 80, while the other weapons have 40 of attack range on normal physical attacks.

Mid Range Attacks

Here fits the bow attack range, which's attack range is something about 500 for all classes, except for daggers (700 of attack range with bows) and archers (900 of attack range with bows), because of their passive skill called Long Shot. Despite of the bow, we also have multiple skills that goes from 400 to 600 of attack range here, such as curses, debuffs, negative skills and physical attack skills, fitting the Storm and Blaster skills from the Duelists and Grand Khavataris as well.

Long Range Attacks

The best example for these attacks are the magical damage skills, most of them have 900 of attack range, which is almost the bigger range on Lineage 2, losing only for a Sagittarius with Snipe. Archers are the only ones that can throw arrows with 900 of attack range, and most of their physical skills also have this attack range, except by the Moonlight Sentinel when using the Rapid Fire buff, which lowers their attack range with a bow back to 600.

Attack Range of Skills

To check the attack range of skills, you can just open the skills window (Alt + K) and hover the mouse on them, which will show it's description, where you can find their respective MP Cost and the respective Range just below it, just as in the picture of the Sonic Blaster above (the complete description is missing just to highlight the Range information).
