Moving Precisely
This is another very important thing for the olympiad, knowing how to use inside the arena gives you a huge advantage, and sometimes might be the reason you win or lose a fight. Let's see some examples of it on actual fights for you to understand what I mean:
In the video you can see that I wait for his Sonic Move to finish, and then when I get some distance I use Frost Bolt to reduce his speed and gain more distance, and once I am out of his attack's range I start to make damage against him, because Mystic Muse's attack range is higher than the Duelist's. That's the reason I could win him, by staying out of his attack range most of the time moving correctly through the arena. Watch another one:
Here I need to catch up the Hierophant to be able to give him maximum damage with Triple and Double Sonic Slash, since the Duelist skills with longer range have lower damage, and for that instead of running right after him, I click to move to forward of him until I get close enough to hit with the short ranged skills, this way I am shortening the path to catch him up, which allows me to get closer with less steps.
Arena's Geometry
To see better how this works, first you need to understand that the olympiad arena in the Interlude is a closed octangle, so there is no way of staying completely safe for a short time on hidden places like in the PvP maps. Knowing this, you must use the arena's geometry in your favor, since on most fights your opponent won't be hitting still, so you must learn how to run on the right direction to deal the maximum damage or to receive the minimum damage possible, considering your class and strategy.
Avoiding Damage
If you are playing with a class that has a high attack range and but low defenses (usually healers and mages), you will need to run all the time from your enemy, and for that you need to run close of the limits from the arena, this way you will have the maximum distance possible from your enemy, but don't forget to consider your enemy's position and attack range too. Take as example my Mystic Muse fight against the Duelist Gladiq in the first video above.
