Special Equipments For Olympiad
There are a few essencial equipments that you must use in the olympiad, basically without them you are in great disadvantage against your adversary, especially if you don't have the buff staffs or didn't have time enough to get the buffs from them. Also there are some weapons that allows you to start the fight with the special abilities from your class, they are very usefull specially for Phoenix Knights, Grand Khavataris and Titans.
Soulshots and Spiritshots
First, you need to know that not all spiritshots are availabe in olympiad, for a better ballance only soulshots and the normal spiritshots are allowed, since the blessed spiritshots increases way more the magical damage and reduces a little the magical skills casting time, so if you are going to play with some mage class, don't forget to buy the right spiritshots.
Magic Staffs of Buffs
We will more about the Special Abilities (SA) in a separated topic, but there are a few magical weapons with the Special Ability of giving the selected target a respective buff by using good magic on the target or on yourself with a certain chance. Good magic are considered the buffs, heals or cleansing skills, so all classes have at least one or two of these skills, besides of the Noblesse Blessing.
There are other weapons with the same Special Abilities from these staffs, like the Spell Breaker (B), Sword of Valhala (B) and Themis Tongue (A), so you can use any of them. You can find some C Grade weapons with these Special Abilities too, but they have a lower level buff, so you will get lesser status from them.
Blessed Body Buff Staff
Gives the level 5 from Blessing Body buff, that increases HP by 30%.
Focus Buff Staff
Gives the level 3 from Focus buff, that increases the physical critical rate by 30%.
Mental Shield Buff Staff
Gives the level 4 from Mental Shield buff, that increases hold, sleep and debuff resistance by 80%.
Regeneration Buff Staff
Gives the level 3 from Regeneration buff, that increases HP Regeneration by 20%.
Conversion Special Ability
This weapon reduces your HP by 40% and increases your MP by 60%, but it applies only while you are wielding, and the MP is not restored. It's mostly used by classes that needs to start with higher MP or needs to reduce their HP to 30% before the fight starts to use their special buff, like Angelic Icon, Frenzy and Zealot. There are weapons with higher grade and the same effect.
Haste Special Ability on Knife
This knife is good for using some physical buffs that have a low time duration and the reuse time takes longer than it's duration, like Rage and Physical Mirror. This works because this weapon increases more your attack speed than all the other ones, reducing a little bit the skill reuse time.
Rsk. Haste Special Ability on Knife
This knife works almost the same way as the Angel Slayer Haste, but it increases your attack speed a little more than Angel Slayer when your HP is lower than 60%, reducing more the physical buff reuse time, but the use is very occasional because of the HP rule.
Basalt Battlehammer Health
The Health weapons increases your HP by 25% and are useful for the classes that needs to use their special buff on 30% of their HP, but they and some other classes use this also to start the fight with a higher HP, usually changing to another weapon when the bonus HP from this weapon ends. There are many other weapons with this Special Ability.
