Special Abilities on Weapons

In the world of Lineage 2, all weapons after D Grade have three possible Special Abilities, except by the dual swords (they get only one Special Ability when enchanted up to +4) and the hero weapons. These abilities are like a passive skill, working only with the weapon equipped, and to get it you must mix your weapon with Soul Crystals and Gemstones on a blacksmith (A and S Grade must be mixed in the Blacksmith of Mammon, found in the Seven Signs Catacombs or Necropolis).

The color and level of the Soul Crystal depends on the selected weapon, it's grade and the desired Special Ability. On Interlude there are 3 Soul Crystal colors (Red, Green, Blue) and 13 Soul Crystals levels (the possible SAs, color and level for A and S Grade can be seen in the weapons topic).

To level up a Soul Crystal, you must obtain the quest Enhance Your Weapon, talking with a human master wizard from Aden, Giran or Oren, who will give you a level 0 Soul Crystal, and then you must level it up killing a few specific monsters and raid bosses, you can see which ones in the following linked PmFun list:

  • Acumen: Increases casting speed by 15%.
 
  • Anger: Decreases the maximum HP by 15% while increases the physical attack power. The amount depends on the weapon’s grade and strength.
 
  • Back Blow: Increases the critical attack rate when attacking from behind. The amount depends on the weapon’s grade and strength.
 
  • Bodily Blessing: Has the chance of giving the Blessed Body buff on the target when using good magic such as heals and buffs. Blessed Body level and working chance depends on the weapon’s grade and strength.
 
  • Cheap Shot: Reduces the MP amount used to shoot an arrow. The amount depends on the weapon’s grade and strength.
 
  • Conversion: Increases Maximum MP by 60% while decreases maximum HP by 40%.
 
  • Crt. Anger: When a physical critical attack occurs, decreases the maximum HP by a low amount while increases the critical damage. Available only for the sword Strombringer (C).
 
  • Crt. Bleed: When a physical critical attack occurs, it has the chance of provoking Bleeding on your opponent. Bleeding level and chance depends on the weapon’s grade and strength.
 
  • Crt. Damage: Increaces the physical critical damage by a certain value. The amount depends on the weapon’s grade and strength.
 
  • Crt. Drain: When a physical critical attack occurs, a small amount of the given damage is recovered as your own HP. The amount depends on the weapon’s grade and strength.
 
  • Crt. Poison: When a physical critical attack occurs, it has the chance of giving Poison on your opponent. Poison level and chance depends on the weapon’s grade and strength.
 
  • Crt. Stun: When a physical critical attack occurs, it has the chance of stunning your opponent. Chance depends on the weapon’s grade and strength.
 
  • Empower: Increases magical attack. The amount depends on the weapon’s grade and strength.
 
  • Evasion: Increases evasion. The amount depends on the weapon’s grade and strength.
 
  • Focus: Increases physical critical attack rate. The amount depends on the weapon’s grade and strength.
 
  • Guidance: Increases accuracy. The amount depends on the weapon’s grade and strength.
 
  • Haste: Increases attack speed. The amount depends on the weapon’s grade and strength.
 
  • Health: Increases maximum HP by 25%.
 
  • Light: Decreases the weapon’s weight. The amount depends on the weapon’s grade and strength.
 
  • Magic Chaos: Has the chance of giving Curse of Chaos on your opponent when using bad magic such as magical damage and debuffs on your opponent. Curse of Chaos level and chance depends on the weapon’s grade and strength.
 
  • Magic Damage: Has the chance of increasing the magic skill power while casting magical damage skills on your opponent. Power amount depends on the weapon’s grade and strength.
 
  • Magic Focus: Has the chance of giving the Focus buff on the target when using good magic such as heals and buffs. Focus level and working chance depends on the weapon’s grade and strength.
 
  • Magic Hold: Has the chance of giving Hold on your opponent when using bad magic such as magical damage and debuffs on your opponent. Hold level and chance depends on the weapon’s grade and strength.
 
  • Magic Mental Shield: Has the chance of giving the Mental Shield buff on the target when using good magic such as heals and buffs. Mental Shield level and working chance depends on the weapon’s grade and strength.
 
  • Magic Paralyze: Has the chance of giving Paralyze on your opponent when using bad magic such as magical damage and debuffs on your opponent. Paralyze level and chance depends on the weapon’s grade and strength.
 
  • Magic Poison: Has the chance of Poisoning on your opponent when using bad magic such as magical damage and debuffs on your opponent. Poison level and chance depends on the weapon’s grade and strength.
 
  • Magic Power: Increases MP consumption by 15% while increases the magical attack power. The amount depends on the weapon’s grade and strength.
 
  • Magic Regeneration: Has the chance of giving the Regeneration buff on the target when using good magic such as heals and buffs. Regeneration level and working chance depends on the weapon’s grade and strength.
 
  • Magic Silence: Has the chance of giving Silence on your opponent when using bad magic such as magical damage and debuffs on your opponent. Silence level and chance depends on the weapon’s grade and strength.
 
  • Magic Weakness: Has the chance of giving Curse Weakness on your opponent when using bad magic such as magical damage and debuffs on your opponent. Curse Weakness level and chance depends on the weapon’s grade and strength.
 
  • Mana Up: Increases maximum MP by 30%.
 
  • Miser: Has the chance of reducing the number of soulshots consumed by an arrow. The numbers of soulshot reduced depends on the weapon’s grade and strength.
 
  • Mortal Strike: Increases the blow success rate by 44%. This SA is not found in the official configuration, but in a few servers you can still get it on C or B grade daggers.
 
  • Quick Recovery: Reduces the arrow attack reuse. The amount depends on the weapon’s grade and strength.
 
  • Rsk. Evasion: When HP reaches 60% or lower, it increases your evasion. The amount depends on the weapon’s grade and strength.
 
  • Rsk. Focus: When HP reaches 60% or lower, it increases your physical critical attack chance. The amount depends on the weapon’s grade and strength.
 
  • Rsk. Haste: When HP reaches 60% or lower, it increases your attack speed. The amount depends on the weapon’s grade and strength.
 
  • Towering Blow: Has the possibility of increasing the spear/polearm attack range and the attacking area.
 
  • Wide Blow: Has the possibility of increasing the spear/polearm attack angle.
 
  • Wild Blow: Same as Wide Blow, available only for Tiphon’s Spear, probably a writting mistake.

When you engrave a Special Ability in your weapon, the PvP damage is also increased by a low percentage, independent of the chosen skill.

Lately, most mid and high rate servers already have a shop selling the weapons with their respective Special Abilities, but if you play a low rate server you will probably have to get it through the normal way with the Soul Crystals.
